Film Vs the ZD!!!!! Fight!

Two Weekends ago I shot my first photo shoot on the Mamiya ZD, and as you know it performed pretty well! The only question I had was how would it compare to the photos that I took on film!

As for Film, I probably should of used some Color film to make a fair comparison, but not really thinking things through, I shot the film shots on some Black and White Film, HP5+.

I Know, what your thinking, why not just convert the color photos into Black and white.... this is a valid point, and to be honest....Ive been lazy lately and decided that it would be best for my own well being and sack of relaxation to just post the photos as is. =)

For the most part I tired to capture the same photo using the same camera settings. I did notice that my distance varied, but that might have been due to my own movement. I used the same focal length on both cameras.

Alright folks, thats it for now, Ill post the rest of the film photos below. My personal opinion is that I like my Film photos better although, the Mamiya ZD is close behind. I reasoning behind this is the rawness that comes with the whole process. You see, for my film shots I feel that there is still a grittiness and quality that digital can't even match. Another reason for liking my film shots more is the the fact that they are for the most part straight from scanner and had if any minor editing tweaks. Plus, I can't really print my digital photos in a darkroom, for those I have to do it the boring way and upload them to a photo lab and wait for prints to come in the mail... ZZzzZZzzzZZZzzzz =)
