The Dead make great subjects!

For those that know me, my "ME" time consists of going to cemeteries and photographing some of the headstones. I do this for a few reasons... and no.. its not because I'm weird, crazy or because I love having my EMO side come out of the closet! It is because of the sense of peace that I find in an environments like this.

Another reason I love photographing cemeteries is because for the most part, its just me, the camera, and the people that at one time, walked this earth trying to make a life for themselves.

You can't help but wonder...who these people were, what were their stories, their passions, what made them feel alive! I sometimes just stand there and wonder, will I be here one day... and what am I currently doing in this life to make a legacy for myself. Will I be remembered or forgotten like some of these headstones are?
