The Traveling Photographer

One thing I have come to find when coming up with themes is that a photographer can have a model and photograph her all day, but sometimes what makes a concept really come alive our the props in which one chooses to use.

I am lucky in that I shoot with a group of photographers and collectively try to make the concepts we come up with come alive. For this shoot, to give that element of travel, a suitcase was a must. Adding the polaroid also give us that travel aspect.

Through out the shoot we had a blast. Which brings me to an important note, as photographers we can be the most skilled when it comes posing our models. But as photographers, we also have to keep an eye our for those small moments between pose changes. The photo above to the left is a perfect example of this.

I would also like to note that even though I used the polaroid as a prop, I  did in fact have some film loaded in it. Having bought it just mins before the shoot I took a risk that I was in working order and popped some film and batteries into and decided to make a photograph with it, and let me tell you the shot was beautiful!

Other then that, I would like to say the shoot was a blast and thanks to our lovely model the shoot was awesome all around! Alright thats it for now, but make sure to check back in I have more film/digital awesomeness to share!
