Zipper adjustments

Going with the spirit of Halloween, I thought it would be a good Idea to play with the concept of adding a zipper to a models mouth. Sadly, when trying this concept out in camera, she looked more like she had a zipper with a hint of a mustache! Given that that was the case I thought it best to do without the zip-stash and just a normal fashion shoot.

Returning home, I was kinda disappointed with the fact that I was not able to pull off my zipper concept to its full extent. Determined to at least get one photo from the bunch I went into photoshop to see what magic I perform to make the zip-stash look more like a zipper =)

To accomplish the edit you see above, What I had to basically had to do was utilize the clone tool. By sourcing from a nearby skin area, I was able to replace the black cloth portions of the zipper with her natural skin, leaving me with something that resembled that which I felt was closer to my original concept.

So as you can see, after some determination....no more Zip-Stash! It's a shame that I did not think about this before hand or else I would of photographed the whole session with the zipper. I guess as always, lesson learned and will next time keep this session in mind if I ever run into similar problems!
