Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow....
This last week... a magical thing happened! That is right folks, Big Foot was sighted in NC! Haha, ok all jokes aside, although not as magical as Big Foot, it did Snow here in Fayetteville. And as most of you know, that only meant one thing... SNOW PHOTOGRAPHY!
I headed over to one of our local historical cemeteries and not being able to make up my mind whether to shoot on film or digital I decided to shoot both! As far as Film, I loaded one of my Mamiya's with Kodak's Portra 160 and another with my digital back, the Mamiya ZD.
As the day went by, personally I thought I had captured some really great shots. But once at home and after scanning my film shots, I noticed that I missed focus on some of the better ones... I know total sad face on my part. Determined to not let this snow moment go in vain, I headed back the next morning and redid some of my favorites from the day before; the above photos are just a few of those I had to redo.
For the fun of it, I decided also to retake some of the photos as a compensation of those that I took on film. I don't know about you, but my heart automatically leans more towards the film version of this shot; but then again I am pretty biased towards my film =)
Here is another comparison shot, once again my heart leans more towards the film version =) Alright thats it for now. I hope everyone was safe during this last week and that you got some awesome photos as well! I have posted the rest of the photos into two galleries, one for film, and the other for the digital shots! Until next time my silly Film junkies!
